Loved this! It was so informational, especially as a “stepmom” who has had many blow outs with our teen especially in the morning commute to school with time constraints and stubbornness from both him and I. I would say that I need to work more on the support and listening to what he has to say without losing my patience and trying to control. Thank you so much!

I’m so glad that it was helpful to you! Teens are uncharted territory for me, but DrStem Mahlatini is a fantastic expert that can support us all on this journey of raising a teen!!!! ♥️

Yes! Breathe, walk away, count whatever to calm down and be able to talk. His explosions make me escalate in a second because I feel it is so disrespectful. And like you said, they want to be heard but many times they do not want to hear what you have to say, unfortunately. I will be using this information for future incidents. It does no good for either one of us to get mad at each other in the morning because then we are both feeling bad about everything we said to each other. Thank you again!
